Synopsis

In Martian Sam, an episode of X Minus One, the Los Angeles Dodgers are in a tight spot as they prepare for the baseball season. The team has not won a pennant in years, and their recent struggles are compounded by the death of their owner, who was notoriously stingy with funds. With the team in disarray and lacking a left-handed pitcher, the first base coach, Joe, is left to ponder their bleak prospects. The new owner, Willie Castle, is more interested in his jet stream playboy lifestyle than in managing a baseball team, leaving the coaching staff scrambling for solutions.
