Synopsis

In The Log of the Marne, the tension mounts as the British gunboat HMS Marne embarks on a routine supply mission along the Mingqiang River during the tumultuous period of the Chinese Civil War in 1949. The ship, under the command of Lieutenant Commander James G. Harland, is tasked with delivering essential supplies from Fuchao to Yenping, a journey that initially seems straightforward. However, unbeknownst to the crew, the political landscape is fraught with danger, and their mission is about to take a harrowing turn.
