Synopsis

In the gripping radio adaptation of The Thirty-Nine Steps, we are drawn into a world of espionage and danger that begins with Richard Hennigh, a disenchanted Englishman returning to his flat in London after years spent in Africa. Feeling the weight of boredom and restlessness, Richard's mundane life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters Frank P. Scudder, a visibly shaken American who seeks refuge in Richard's home. Scudder's fear is palpable; he believes that both their lives are at stake due to a deadly conspiracy involving international spies and a plot to assassinate a Greek politician named Karylides.
