Synopsis
In the tense atmosphere of 1868 Texas, Bob Lee returns home from the Civil War, hoping to reintegrate into society and live a peaceful life. However, his aspirations are quickly dashed when he encounters hostility from the local men, who resent his prosperity and the way he dresses. Bob's distinctive black suit and plume hat become symbols of his perceived arrogance, provoking a confrontation that spirals out of control. The situation escalates when a local man, Hugh Evans, confronts Bob in front of a saloon, accusing him of flaunting his wealth and status. The confrontation turns violent, and in the chaos, Evans falls under Bob's horse, resulting in his death. This tragic accident ignites a fierce vendetta against Bob, as the local men rally together, fueled by anger and a desire for revenge.
