Synopsis

In the Gunsmoke episode titled Ball Nine, Take Your Base, the scene is set for an exciting baseball game in Dodge City, where the Eastern All-Star Professional Baseball Club is set to face off against a local team. Doc Adams, usually more comfortable with medicine than sports, finds himself unexpectedly appointed as the umpire for this high-stakes game.
