Synopsis

In A Plain Case of Murder, the story unfolds with Randy Judson, a man recently returned from the war, grappling with the emotional turmoil of finding his former lover, Marion, married to a wealthy man named Ed. Randy's memories of Marion are bittersweet, filled with dreams of a life they could have shared, now tainted by the reality of her marriage to someone else. As he arrives at her lavish home, the tension is palpable; he is both drawn to and repulsed by the life Marion has chosen. Their initial conversation reveals the complexities of their past, with Randy's bitterness surfacing as he confronts Marion about her choices. She tries to justify her marriage, claiming love for Ed, but Randy's skepticism grows as he perceives her motivations as shallow and materialistic.
