Synopsis
In The Palmer Method, Joe Palmer, a cunning forger, finds himself in a precarious situation as he navigates the dangerous world of espionage and conflict in Spain. The story begins with Joe reflecting on his life in New York, where he has been living on the run, constantly looking over his shoulder. With only three dollars to his name, he is desperate for a way out and a way to secure a large sum of money. His luck seems to change when he overhears a conversation about the Spanish Loyalist Army, which is fighting against the Fascist forces led by Franco. Seeing an opportunity, Joe decides to enlist, thinking that it will not only provide him with a free ticket out of the country but also a chance to escape his past troubles.
