Synopsis

In the Gunsmoke episode titled Lynching Man, the quiet town of Dodge City is shaken by the brutal discovery of Hank Blennis, a newcomer, hanging lifelessly from a tree. The sight horrifies Marshal Matt Dillon and his deputy Chester, who realize that this act of violence is not just a random occurrence but a reflection of the lawlessness that often plagues the frontier. As they cut down Blennis's body, questions arise about who could commit such a heinous act and why.
