Synopsis

In the Gunsmoke episode 'Letter of the Law', Marshal Matt Dillon receives a court order for the immediate eviction of Brandon Teak, a reformed gunfighter who has settled on a piece of land near Wagon Mountain. Teak, who has a notorious past, is now married and expecting a child with his wife, Sarah. The eviction order is based on a legal technicality: Teak failed to register his deed properly, a fact that has only recently come to light.
