Synopsis

In the Gunsmoke episode titled Big Broad, the arrival of Lena Wave in Dodge City sends shockwaves through the town. Weighing in at an imposing 200 pounds and armed with a six-gun, Lena is a sight to behold as she rides in on a draft horse, leading her boyfriend Emmett Fitzgerald on a jack mule. Emmett, a frail-looking man, seems to be overshadowed by Lena's larger-than-life persona, and their dynamic raises eyebrows among the locals. As they settle into town, it becomes clear that Lena is not just a woman to be trifled with; she is fiercely protective of Emmett, setting the stage for tension and conflict.
