Synopsis

In the Gunsmoke episode titled The Bear, we meet Mike Blocker, a large and good-natured man who is eagerly anticipating his wedding day. However, his excitement is overshadowed by the antics of two of his friends, Joe Plummer and Webb, who have taken their practical jokes too far. As Mike struggles with a broken wagon on the prairie, he reveals to U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon that the two cowboys have been harassing him in the lead-up to his wedding, leaving him stranded and vulnerable.
