Synopsis
In The Pasteboard Box, the story unfolds with Walter, a man deeply frustrated by his tumultuous relationship with his twin brother, Jack. He decides to fake his own death by jumping off a ferry, leaving behind his belongings to create a convincing scene of suicide. As he stands on the ferry, he feels a mix of anxiety and determination, knowing that this act will sever his ties with Jack forever. He meticulously prepares for the jump, shedding his coat and hat, which bear his name and initials, and then takes the plunge into the murky waters below.
