Synopsis

In the gripping episode My Dear Niece from the classic radio series Suspense, the story revolves around Emily Rogers, an elderly widow who finds herself ensnared in a web of intrigue after placing a job advertisement in her local newspaper. Seeking to alleviate her loneliness and perhaps find a sense of purpose, Emily, encouraged by her niece, decides to offer her services as a secretary. To her surprise, she receives a prompt response from a man named Bruce, who offers her a seemingly simple job that pays $50 a week. The catch? There are no clear instructions or details about her responsibilities, and the checks arrive in unmarked envelopes from Los Angeles.
