Synopsis

In the gripping episode Post Mortem from the classic radio series Suspense, listeners are introduced to Josephine Archer, a woman grappling with the recent death of her husband, Stephen. The story begins on a seemingly ordinary morning, as Josephine prepares for her day, reflecting on her life and the lingering memories of her late husband, Harry Meade. As she enjoys a moment of tranquility, her world is abruptly shaken by the arrival of two men who bring shocking news. They inform her that she has won a staggering $150,000 sweepstakes, a ticket for which is buried in the pocket of her deceased husband's suit. The revelation strikes Josephine with a mix of disbelief and excitement, but it quickly morphs into a moral and emotional dilemma as she realizes the implications of retrieving the ticket from her husband's grave.
