Synopsis

In Gunsmoke: Dodge Podge, the story begins in Dodge City, where U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon reflects on the volatile nature of life in the West. The tranquility of the prairie is disrupted by the arrival of cattle herds, and tensions are palpable as Leif Sutter, a cattleman, confronts his son Paki about his friendship with Jason Roll, a sheep herder. Leif's disdain for Jason is evident, as he believes that a cattleman should not associate with a sheep herder, whom he views as inferior. Paki, however, admires Jason for his intelligence and kindness, setting the stage for a conflict that will test family bonds and community ties.
