Synopsis

In the Gunsmoke episode titled Kitty, the story begins with Marshal Matt Dillon expressing his desire to take Kitty, a hostess at the Texas Trail saloon, to a dance in Dodge City. Despite the festive atmosphere surrounding the event, Kitty is apprehensive about attending due to her profession and the judgment she faces from the 'decent' folk of the town. Dillon, however, is insistent, believing that Kitty deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of societal norms.
