Synopsis
In Gunsmoke: Carmen, the peace of Dodge City is shattered when an army payroll is stolen, resulting in the brutal murder of two soldiers. U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon finds himself at the center of a brewing storm as Major Randall from Fort Dodge arrives, demanding action. The Major is quick to threaten martial law, believing that Dillon's inability to control the lawlessness in Dodge is a sign of weakness. Dillon, however, understands the complexities of the situation and knows that the townsfolk are not all criminals; many are simply wild and free spirits of the frontier.
