Synopsis
In The Greatest Risk, set in 1744 Salem, New Jersey, we meet James McDaniel, a soldier of fortune who finds himself in a precarious situation. Captured and restrained in an apparatus known as the Starks, he faces the grim prospect of execution. The deserted public square becomes the backdrop for his desperate circumstances, as he awaits the intervention of his fiancée, Dorothy. She arrives just in time to provide him with a pen and writing case, allowing him to compose a letter to his commander in France. This letter is not just a plea for help; it is a testament to his mission and the stakes involved in the political turmoil of the time.
