Synopsis

In The Well-Dressed Corpse, we find ourselves in the glamorous yet ruthless world of high fashion and social status, where appearances can be deceiving and pride can lead to deadly consequences. The story centers on Ruth Franklin, a woman recently celebrated as one of America’s ten best-dressed women. Her life takes a dramatic turn at a prestigious luncheon where she is introduced to the equally esteemed Roy Mason, a man who has also been recognized as one of the best-dressed men. Initially, their interaction is filled with playful banter, but as the evening progresses, Ruth becomes increasingly enamored with Roy. However, her excitement quickly turns to despair when Roy, after a night of flirtation, fails to follow up with her the next day.
