Synopsis

In The Al Brenners Case, private detective Richard Diamond is approached by the dubious Tiny Gillespie, a professional informant with a reputation for being untrustworthy. Tiny presents Diamond with a tantalizing proposition: help him capture Al Brenners, a notorious criminal who has just skipped town before a grand jury appearance, and split the $5,000 reward. Despite his reservations about Tiny's character, Diamond is drawn in by the prospect of quick cash, knowing that $2,500 could ease many of his financial burdens.
