Synopsis
In the gripping episode A Killing in Abilene from the classic radio series Suspense, a man embarks on a harrowing journey fueled by vengeance. He rides into the desolate town of Abilene, having traveled 300 miles to confront Lee Burrage, the man he believes is responsible for his brother's murder. The atmosphere is thick with tension as he arrives in a ghostly town, where the silence is only broken by the distant barking of a dog. As he approaches, he discovers a gathering of townsfolk, their faces etched with grim determination, surrounding a grave being dug. The scene is reminiscent of the pain he felt two years prior when he lost his brother, and he realizes that the townspeople are preparing to lynch Burrage for another murder, that of Fred Costin.
