Synopsis

In One Way Street, Georgie, a young man recently released from prison, returns to the gritty streets of London where he grew up. The atmosphere is thick with the memories of his past, filled with the harsh realities of street life and the looming presence of his Uncle Bert, a con artist with a manipulative grip on Georgie's life. As Georgie walks the familiar yet unforgiving streets, he reflects on the loss of his parents during the Blitz, which left him to navigate life alone, ultimately leading him to Uncle Bert's dubious care. The reunion is anything but warm; Georgie feels the weight of betrayal and resentment towards his uncle, who he blames for his incarceration. Uncle Bert, with his charm and deceit, tries to paint a picture of familial love, but Georgie sees through the facade.
