Synopsis

In The Great Horrell, Alma Whorrell finds herself trapped in a nightmarish reality, married to Paul Whorrell, a celebrated mentalist known as the Great Horrell. As the play opens, Alma reflects on the five tumultuous years of their marriage, where her husband's extraordinary ability to read minds has turned her life into a psychological prison. The audience is introduced to the couple during a performance, where Paul dazzles the crowd with his mind-reading tricks, seemingly able to pluck thoughts directly from the minds of his audience and even Alma herself. However, beneath the surface of this glamorous life lies a deep-seated fear that has been festering within Alma.
