Synopsis

In the gripping old-time radio drama The King's Birthday, set in Nazi-occupied Denmark, the atmosphere is thick with tension and fear as the oppressed citizens navigate the dangers posed by their occupiers. The story centers around Countess Elsa, who, along with her allies, devises a daring plan to turn the tables on the Nazi officials. The narrative unfolds in the days leading up to the king's birthday, a date that holds significant importance for both the Danish people and their oppressors. The Gestapo, represented by the ruthless Gauleiter Herr Reichmann, is on high alert, searching for any signs of dissent among the populace.
