Synopsis
In Once a Crook, George Valentine is approached by Betty Kroner, who is desperate to find her brother Ralph, an accused safe robber. Ralph has a troubled past, having served time for a previous crime, but Betty is adamant that he is innocent of the current charges. The situation escalates when Ralph is accused of attacking their uncle while attempting to rob his safe, a crime that seems too open-and-shut for Betty's liking. She believes there is more to the story and pleads with George to help clear her brother's name before the police can catch him.
