Synopsis
In The Investment, George Valentine, a private investigator, is approached by his lawyer friend Spencer with an urgent request. Spencer's anonymous client wants to invest $5,000 in Mazuma Limited stock, which is selling for $50 a share. The catch is that George must buy the stock in his name and do it quickly, as the investment houses close their doors to orders after three o'clock. With only a couple of hours left, George's task seems straightforward, but complications arise almost immediately.
