Synopsis

In the Gunsmoke episode titled Twelfth Night, the quiet town of Dodge City is about to be shaken by a family feud that has simmered for years. Eban Hakes, a towering figure from the Ozarks, arrives with a singular purpose: to kill Joff Monger. The tension is palpable as Hakes expresses his intent to the U.S. Marshal, Matt Dillon, who knows the history of animosity between the two families. Hakes is adamant about his code; he will not kill on a Sunday, which adds a peculiar twist to his murderous intentions.
