Synopsis
In Mightier Than the Sword, we are transported to the summer evening of 1869, where the iconic cartoonist Thomas Nast is engaged in a conversation with Fletcher Harper, the publisher of Harper's Weekly. As they stroll through a quiet suburban street on the outskirts of New York City, they discuss the troubling political climate dominated by Boss Tweed and his corrupt associates. Nast is particularly concerned about the unjust imprisonment of a fireman named Tim Murphy, who has been locked up without clear charges, merely for speaking out.
