Synopsis

In The Thirteenth Sound, Mrs. Skinner finds herself ensnared in a web of guilt and fear after committing the unthinkable act of murdering her husband. The story begins with a chilling recollection of the crime, where Mrs. Skinner describes the moment she pulled the trigger, aiming for her husband's shoulder as he reached for the window. The act is brutal and calculated, yet she feels an overwhelming sense of control as she cleans up the scene, hiding the weapon and erasing her footprints. The narrative quickly shifts to the aftermath of the murder, where she dons the mask of a grieving widow, attempting to maintain her composure in the face of mounting suspicion.
