Synopsis

In the gripping episode Riabouchinska from the classic radio drama Suspense, Detective Lieutenant Krovich is called to investigate a perplexing murder that unfolds in the dimly lit cellar of a theater. The victim, Mr. Ockham, has been found strangled, and the scene is set for a chilling exploration of secrets and deception. The only witnesses to the crime are John Fabian, a ventriloquist, his wife Alice, and his press agent Bernard Douglas, each harboring their own hidden truths. As Krovich arrives, he is immediately struck by the eerie atmosphere and the peculiar presence of a polished bronze box labeled 'Ria Buczynska,' which contains a ventriloquist's dummy that seems to possess an unsettling life of its own.
