Synopsis
In The Beautiful Archer, the latest case for the brilliant detective Nero Wolfe begins with a phone call that piques his interest. Archie Goodwin, Wolfe's assistant, answers a call from a distressed young woman, Diana Lawrence, who is desperate to understand why her fiancé, Willard Garth, has suddenly cut off contact. Diana, a talented archer and daughter of a renowned sculptor, confronts Dr. Rayner Townley at the Townley Sanitarium, where Willard is a patient. The doctor, however, has his own opinions about Diana's intentions and warns her that she may not be the best influence on Willard.
