Synopsis
In the episode Buried Gold, the Lone Ranger and Tonto find themselves embroiled in a high-stakes adventure that dates back to the Civil War. The story begins with a desperate mission to transport a million dollars in gold bullion from Gold Creek, Colorado, to the Confederacy. Jim Bledsoe leads a group of brave volunteers, but they are ambushed, and the gold seemingly vanishes along with the men. Years later, Jonathan Drake, the only survivor of that ill-fated expedition, is on his deathbed, determined to ensure that the gold is recovered and used for good.
