The Lone Ranger, disguised as a cowhand, arrives in town and begins to piece together the mystery surrounding Ritter's escape. He learns from Sheriff Bates that Ritter, despite being a dangerous criminal, was only charged with disturbing the peace due to a lack of evidence against him.
