Synopsis

In The Bookworm Turns, George Valentine receives a peculiar request from Mr. Hummer, the owner of a small bookstore. Hummer is perplexed by a series of break-ins that have occurred over the past two months. Strangely, nothing has been stolen; instead, the intruder seems to have a peculiar obsession with reading the books, particularly a rare edition by Robert Burns. Hummer, hesitant to involve the police due to the lack of theft, seeks George's expertise to uncover the mystery behind these bizarre occurrences.
