Synopsis
In Stranger Than Fiction, George Valentine receives a peculiar case from Victoria Beasley, the wife of Samuel Beasley, a bestselling author. Victoria is deeply troubled by her husband's recent success with his novel, The Awakening, and suspects that the character Diana, a cold and distant wife, is based on her. She believes that the inspiration for this character may be Peggy Rookerton, a woman from their community who has a past with Samuel. Victoria's emotional distress is palpable as she confronts George, revealing the humiliation she feels in light of her husband's literary fame.
