Synopsis

In the Gunsmoke episode "Looney McCluny," the story begins with the quirky character of Old Loony McCluny, who is convinced he has discovered a fortune in gold. His antics around Dodge City, where he frequently brings in samples of what he claims is gold, are met with skepticism from the townsfolk, particularly from U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon and Doc. Despite their doubts, McCluny remains adamant that he has struck it rich, leading to a mix of amusement and concern among his friends.
