Synopsis

In the quaint setting of an English village, George Fotheringay, a man of reason and intellect, finds himself embroiled in a lively debate at the Long Dragon Bar. Surrounded by locals who hold superstitious beliefs, George prides himself on his rationality and scientific understanding. However, when he is provoked by the ignorance of another patron, Toddy Beamish, he inadvertently performs what can only be described as a miracle—turning a lamp upside down with just a point of his finger. This event sets the stage for a series of unforeseen consequences that challenge George's worldview.
