Synopsis
In The Man Who Could Work Miracles, we are introduced to Mr. Fatheringay, a reasonable man who finds himself in a lively debate at the Long Dragon Bar. Frustrated by the ignorance of his fellow patrons, particularly a man named Toddy Beamish, he passionately defends the principles of science against what he perceives as superstition. This seemingly mundane argument takes a fantastical turn when Mr. Fatheringay inadvertently discovers that he possesses the ability to perform miracles.
