Synopsis
In the heart of New Orleans during the lively Mardi Gras, a salesman named Cummings finds himself trapped in a stuffy hotel room, anxiously awaiting a call from his boss. The sounds of celebration outside only heighten his frustration and boredom. In a desperate search for distraction, he rummages through the drawers of his room and stumbles upon a Gideon Bible. With nothing else to occupy his time, he begins to read it, becoming engrossed in the tale of David and his trials.
