Thomas claims to have been present when the jewels vanished but cannot recall the details of the incident, leading Danfield to suspect that something more sinister is at play. The jewels were shown to a man and a woman who presented a letter of authorization, but the next thing Thomas remembers is waking up on the floor, the jewels gone.
