Synopsis
In The Big Threat, the story unfolds with detectives Joe Friday and Ben Romero responding to a robbery case in Los Angeles. They arrive at the office of Louis Butler, a middle-aged businessman who has been brutally beaten and robbed of over $800. However, Butler is unwilling to report the crime, insisting that it is not worth the trouble and expressing a desire to forget the incident altogether. His reluctance raises immediate red flags for the detectives, who suspect that there is more to the story than he is willing to share.
