Jack and Doc are trying to escort a Chinese girl to Chinatown. They escape from assassins by motorboat. The story line was used again on the series from September 3, 1951 to September 21, 1951. Walter Patterson, who portrayed "Reggie," committed suicide on September 20, 1942. "Reggie" was written out of the cast and replaced by "Jerry Booker," the secretary at the A-1 Detective Agency. The three adventurers were now known as, "Jack, Doc and Jerry." When the program returned to the air on October 3, 1949, on the Mutual network, the character of "Reggie" was brought back, portrayed by Tony Randall. The plot matches the description of the program of March 29, 1943 more than it does match the plot of March 30, 1943.
