Synopsis
In the inaugural episode of Cruise of the Paul Parrot, we meet Captain Roy Dalton, a brave and determined seaman who has just received his master's papers. Set in the bustling whaling town of New Bedford in 1858, Dalton is eager to take command of the Paul Parrott, a whaling ship he is set to captain. He encounters his old friend George Wainwright, who expresses concern about the dangers of whaling and the unsavory characters often found among the crew. Despite Wainwright's warnings, Dalton is resolute in his decision to lead a crew of true sailors, promising fair wages and a share in the profits.
