Synopsis

In The Front Page, part of the Academy Award Theater, we are introduced to Hildy Johnson, a newspaper man on the brink of a major life change. He is set to leave his chaotic career behind to marry his sweetheart and start a new life in New York. However, his plans are complicated by his managing editor, Walter Burns, who is not ready to let go of his star reporter. The story unfolds in the bustling city room of a newspaper office, where the urgency of a hanging scheduled for the next morning adds pressure to the situation.
