Synopsis

Pride of the Marines tells the story of Al Schmidt, a United States Marine whose bravery is tested during the fierce battles of Guadalcanal. As the Japanese advance threatens his unit, Al exhibits remarkable courage, but the cost of war soon becomes apparent. After sustaining serious injuries, he finds himself in a hospital, grappling with the physical and emotional aftermath of his experiences. The narrative captures the essence of heroism, not just in battle but in the struggle for recovery and reintegration into civilian life.
