Synopsis
In Point of Departure, Mr. Donner, the manager of a plant for Alai Electronics, finds himself in a precarious situation when he discovers a $300,000 shortfall in the budget. The board of directors demands an explanation, and the pressure mounts as the district attorney's office looms in the background. Donner recalls a recent meeting with Simon Kane, who introduced him to the Poseidon Tablets, ancient artifacts that supposedly contain advanced scientific knowledge. Kane's insistence on the tablets' significance piques Donner's interest, leading him to believe that they may hold the key to a revolutionary solar energy converter.
