Synopsis

In the Absent Minded Professor episode of Secrets of Scotland Yard, Clive Crook sets the stage for a gripping tale of political intrigue. The narrative begins with the introduction of Igor Guzenko, a young clerk working in the code room of the Soviet Embassy in Ottawa. As the world transitions from one war to another, Guzenko finds himself in a precarious situation, attempting to reveal critical information about a conspiracy involving atomic secrets. His desperate attempts to communicate his findings are met with skepticism, leaving him vulnerable to the very forces he seeks to expose.
