Synopsis
In The Eddie Garrett Case, Richard Diamond, portrayed by Dick Powell, finds himself embroiled in the life of a troubled teenager, Eddie Garrett. Eddie, only seventeen, is on the brink of execution for a crime that has the potential to define his future. The episode opens with Diamond reflecting on the carefree nature of childhood in New York City, contrasting it with Eddie's grim reality. As Diamond receives a call from Lieutenant Levinson, he learns that Eddie's older brother, Bill Garrett, is set to die in the electric chair that very night, and he has requested to see Diamond.
