Synopsis
In The Green Witch, Philip Marlowe finds himself embroiled in a tense situation when John Bishop walks into his office, visibly shaken and clutching a hundred dollar bill. Bishop explains that an escaped convict, Dale Estes, is likely seeking revenge against him for testifying against him in court. With Halloween just hours away, Bishop fears that attending a masquerade ball at the Pacific Palisades Country Club will put him in even greater danger. Marlowe, intrigued and sensing the urgency, agrees to help Bishop locate Estes before the night falls.
