Synopsis
In The Silver Spoon, the story begins with the arrival of Bert Barry, a young man from the East, sent by his father John Barry to work on the Davis ranch. His father hopes that the experience will teach Bert the value of hard work, as he has grown up with a sense of entitlement due to his wealth. Bert's arrival is met with curiosity by Jed Davis and his daughter Susie, who are eager to see what kind of person he is. However, it quickly becomes clear that Bert is conceited and believes that money can buy him anything, including Tonto's beautiful horse.
